Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 24, 2025
1. Overview
Terminal One ("we," "our," "the Platform") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. By using the Platform you agree to the practices described here.
2. Data We Collect
Wallet address. When you connect your wallet, we record your public Ethereum wallet address. This is used to identify your account. We never have access to your private key or seed phrase.
Profile information. If you create a social profile, we store the information you voluntarily provide: display name, username, bio, avatar image URL, banner, and Twitter/X handle.
X (Twitter) verification data. If you choose to verify via X, we receive your X username, X user ID, and public follower count via the X OAuth 2.0 API. We store this solely to display your verification badge. We do not store your X OAuth access token after the verification check is complete.
On-chain activity. We read publicly available on-chain transaction data (trades, token flows) associated with your wallet address to power portfolio tracking and leaderboard features. This data is already public on the blockchain.
Social content. Posts, replies, direct messages, likes, and follows you create on the Platform are stored to provide the social terminal feature.
Usage data. We may collect anonymized usage data (pages visited, features used) to improve the Platform. We do not sell this data.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate the Platform and its features
- To display your public profile and social content to other users
- To assign verification badges based on X follower count
- To calculate T1 Points, leaderboard rankings, and tier status
- To deliver direct messages between users
- To send in-app notifications (likes, follows, replies)
- To improve the Platform through anonymized analytics
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
The Platform uses the following third-party services that may process data on your behalf:
- Supabase — database and realtime infrastructure. Data is stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL.
- Alchemy — on-chain data and RPC queries.
- TradingView — charting library. Chart rendering may involve TradingView data services.
- X (Twitter) — OAuth 2.0 identity verification. Governed by X's Privacy Policy.
- LI.FI — DEX aggregation routing.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Social posts and messages are retained until you delete them or request account deletion. OAuth state tokens expire after 10 minutes and are deleted immediately after use.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent for optional features (e.g., X verification)
To exercise these rights, contact us via our community channels or the contact information provided on the Platform.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), httpOnly JWT cookies, row-level security on the database, and service-role-only database access from server-side code. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Platform is not directed at users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will update the date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
10. Contact
For privacy questions or data requests, contact us via our community channels or the information provided on the Platform.
